Duncan Beattie – Chairman & Event Manager
One of the co-founders of the Edinburgh Blues Club, I first gravitated to the blues in my late teens, working back from the blues influences in my hard rock collection. In the mid-2000s I became active in seeing live blues shows around central Scotland. For five years I wrote reviews and interviews for blues magazines, in particular Blues Matters and helped compile the compilation CD of Scottish blues, Jock’s Juke Joint. My main roles in the EBC are event management and artist liaison.
Paul Eunson – Booking Manager
Paul first discovered the Blues having just seen the Rolling Stones live in 1990. Exploring the Stones’ roots introduced him to the likes of Buddy Guy and John Lee Hooker. Paul is 45 years old and divides his career between working in Investments and working as a tour guide.
Philip Young – Finance Manager
I’ve been a music fan since the late 60’s and have attended live gigs all over the world. I like all kinds of blues, from Clapton to Hooker, from King to Collins. I’m an EBC member because I love the combination of local and international acts and I’ve picked up on lots of new bands since joining.
Richard Tweeddale – Promotions & Social Media Manager
Hi I’m Richard. Live music is my passion and I’m a sucker for the searing sound of loud Blues rock. No doubt you can guess that my favourite EBC gig this year has been the Nimmo Brothers!
Evelyn Mathison – Raffle Organiser
Originally from Northern Ireland, I have lived in Edinburgh longer than anywhere else! A founder member of the EBC, I enjoy all types of blues but really enjoyed having the opportunity to hear Lil Jimmy Reed earlier this year.
Lisa Scott – Merchandise Manager
A renowned jazz and blues singer in her own right, Lisa has been a regular on the Edinburgh music scene for many years, having worked with the likes of Tam White and The Dexters. Lisa is a merchandise manager. Normally found in the American Bar, she sells future show tickets, EBC t-shirts and all the artists’ own CDs and merchandise.
